How Do I Use the Image CMS Detection Feature?

The Image CMS Detection feature extends the extension's capabilities to Google Image search results. When enabled, it analyzes the websites linked from the images.

  • Enabling: You can turn this feature on or off from the extension's options page (click the extension icon in your browser toolbar). Look for the "Enable Image CMS Detection" checkbox under the "Detect on Google Images Results" section.
  • Functionality: Once active on an image search results page, it will:

    • Place CMS labels directly on or near image thumbnails (similar to regular search).
    • Update the floating information box with its findings. This box will also show an "Image Scan Actions & Results" section.
    • "Other" CMS Category: For image results, if a site is analyzed but doesn't strongly match one of the specifically supported CMS platforms, it might be categorized as "Other."
    • CSV Download: You can download a list (CSV file) of detected sites (e.g., all WordPress sites, all "Other" sites) found via the image scan directly from the floating box.
    • Pause/Resume: The floating box will show a button to pause an ongoing image scan or resume a paused one. This is useful if the scan is consuming too many resources or if you want to temporarily halt it.

  • Note: The image scan feature relies on the same CMS detection settings you've chosen for regular search (e.g., if you've disabled WordPress detection, it won't be detected in image scans either).
